PITT TRIFECTA Selection Process
Objective: To determine if the candidate has the discipline, toughness, and commitment to train in the PITT Fighting Method. The process is designed to test physical, mental, and emotional resilience before full acceptance.
Step 1: Application & Initial Screening
๐น Complete Application Form โ Includes personal info, fitness background, training goals, medical disclosures, and waiver forms.
๐น Answer PITT Candidacy Questions โ Must complete a questionnaire to assess mindset, commitment level, and attitude. Example questions:
Why do you want to train in PITT?
How do you handle adversity?
Have you ever quit something because it got too hard? If so, why?
What do you fear most?
How do you plan to make time for training?
๐ Failure to take the application seriously results in immediate rejection.
Step 2: Physical & Mental Assessment (In-Person Test)
๐น Candidates must pass a physical and mental readiness assessment before being considered for probation.
๐น Basic fitness screening (adjusted based on age & background):
30 push-ups (strict form, no knees)
30 squats (full range)
Plank for 2 minutes
Dead hang from a bar for 30 seconds
Run 1 mile under 10 minutes
๐น Candidates then face a Mental Toughness Test:
5-minute controlled disorientation drill (lights out, loud noise, rapid commands)
Immediate decision-making under stress exercise
๐ Failure to complete the assessment results in rejection. They may reapply in 3 months.
Step 3: Welcome Party (Survival Test)
You donโt get to hit backโonly cover and follow commands.
๐น 4 Instructors attack for 2 minutes straight with:
Unpredictable slaps, pushes, takedown attempts
Loud commands: "Knee!" "On your back!" "Kick!" "Stand up!"
Sensory overload (yelling, lights, disorienting sounds)
๐น If they panic, quit, or freeze upโthey fail.
๐น If they stay engaged and fight through it, they earn probationary status.
๐ No retries. You survive, or you donโt.
Step 4: Probationary Training Period
(Lasts 6-8 weeks, depending on performance)
๐น Uniform: White T-shirt, BDU pants, no official gear until earned.
๐น Must attend at least 2 classes per week (mandatory).
๐น Journaling required โ must track training progress, personal reflections, and lessons learned.
๐น Weekly assignments โ tactical mindset readings, video reviews, written reflections.
๐น Demonstrated discipline:
Punctuality (late = extra conditioning)
Full uniform every class
Good hygiene & grooming
Notebook & pen every session
Respect & warrior mindset
๐ Failure to meet these standards = Dismissal. No second chances.
Step 5: Earning the PITT Shirt (Official Acceptance)
๐น After completing probation, candidates must:
Pass a final combatives test (striking, grappling, survival skills)
Complete a 3-minute endurance fight against rotating opponents
Defend against multiple attackers in a stress-based scenario
Show consistent discipline, attendance, and mindset
๐น Upon passing, they receive the Official PITT School T-Shirt and wrist band of color grade โ symbolizing full membership.
๐ If they fail final testing, they must restart probation.

๐บ This process ensures only the dedicated survive.
๐บ Standards never lower. Either they rise to the occasion, or they donโt belong.
๐บ The PITT Fighting Method is not for everyone, and thatโs the point.
